Cyprus Introduces a New Computerised Unified Tax Management System “Tax for All”

On 17 January 2023, the Tax Department of Cyprus announced the replacement of the TAXISnet platform and other smaller tax platforms with the new unified tax management system “Tax For All” (TFA).

The new system TFA will bring all tax systems under one umbrella and will be implemented gradually in three stages. In the first stage, the implementation of the project will concern VAT and VIES, while in the second and third stages, it will concern Direct Taxation and is expected to be completed at the end of 2024.

For the implementation of VAT and VIES, the operation of TAXISnet – VAT ended on 16 March 2023 whereby TFA will be in use on 27 March 2023.

The taxpayers should update their electronic address (e-mail), via the TAXISnet website, the validity of which is a necessary element for the transfer of their account from the Taxisnet system to the new TFA system.

The Commissioner of Taxation, Sotiris Markidis stated that; “in order for the smooth transition for the users the Tax Department will extend the date of submission of regular VAT Returns as follows:
