Extension for the Payment of the Annual Levy for 2021 for Cypriot Companies

The Plenary session of the House of Representatives will decide on an urgent basis tomorrow for an extension to the deadline for the payment annual company levy (350 euros) until 31 December 2021.

The matter predominantly concerned the House of Representatives committee on trade (the “Committee”), and subsequently the amended bill will be placed before the plenary session of the House of Representatives.

The bill also includes a provision for the Minister of Energy, Commerce and Industry, Natasa Pilides (the “Minister”) to be able to further extend the period for paying the relevant levy with the issuance of a specific decree. Talking before the relevant committee the Minister emphasized the necessity for this amendment so as provide relief to companies impacted by Covid-19.
